For the love of Sequence and drapes – Ashish Gupta, Indian born fashion designer has set the bar for embellishment and sequence embroidery.

Ashish first hit the runways in 2004 and has since then been known as the designer behind the blend of sports wear, sequence and glamorous craftsmanship.

Just a little story about Ashish – when he first graduated with an MA from London he set off to Paris to pursue a career with what he hoped would be one of the large Parisian fashion houses. To his disadvantage, his portfolio was stolen and the young designer started focusing on creating outfits and perfected garments for friends before he was spotted in 2001; you really never know what the world holds for you tomorrow.

Since then Ashish has dressed A-list celebrities, individuals that I would like to call “people with their own sense of style”. The designs that Ashish creates are rather simple and minimalistic with a touch of feminine sport and an intricate attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Ashish is specifically famous around fashion design students that que in line to be able to get a glimpse of his runway shows; he has definitely won them over with creating a love for the mixture of sequence, pop culture and underground lifestyle.

Let us wait and see what else Ashish has in store for us.
